Cybersecurity Postgraduate Summer School


The main goal of the summer schools organized by the UPM Cybersecurity Chair is to deepen your knowledge on Cybersecurity through international speakers and group activities. The 2024 Summer School will take place from September 2nd to 9th, at the Lucas Olazabal Hall of Residence in Cercedilla, 50 minutes from Madrid. Deadline for Registration is 15th July 2024

The summer school will allow you to look into a variety of topics within the field of Security, identify new research trends, meet forerunners in this research field, and network with other international students, all in an unparalleled natural setting just 50 minutes from the center of Madrid. If you are a PhD student or a master's student interested in research, the summer school will enable you to deepen your understanding of these topics alongside top-tier international researchers


The first edition of the PhD Summer School will focus on security in software and systems. During the week, you will attend lectures by prestigious researchers such as Lorenzo Cavallaro and Juan Caballero, participate in group activities and get to know the natural environment and the rich cultural offerings of Madrid and its surroundings.

 This activity is carried out as part of the INCIBE-ETSISI/UPM Chair (C122/23), resulting from a collaboration agreement between the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE) and the Technical University of Madrid. This initiative is conducted within the framework of the funds from the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, financed by the European Union (Next Generation), the Spanish Government's project that outlines the roadmap for modernizing the Spanish economy, recovering economic growth and job creation, achieving a solid, inclusive, and resilient economic recovery after the COVID-19 crisis, and addressing the challenges of the next decade.
