La ingeniería inversa de malware es una tarea crucial pero laboriosa en la ciberseguridad. En esta charla, exploraremos cómo Gemini puede acelerar y mejorar este proceso. Discutiremos las ventajas y desventajas de utilizar Gemini en este contexto, evaluaremos el estado actual de la tecnología y abordaremos los desafíos que aún persisten. Además, presentaremos un plugin para IDA Pro que integra Gemini directamente en el flujo de trabajo del analista, brindando una demostración práctica de su potencial en análisis del desensamblado y decompilado de ficheros. Hive is one of the tools allegedly developed by the CIA that were revealed in 2017 by Wikileaks in the Vault 7 and 8 releases. It is a cross-platform malware family with simple capabilities and relatively common infrastructure, but with some very interesting design elements. This talk provides an overview of Hive and a detailed analysis of the implant source code.
